The 34-year-old and Sophie, 27, are parents to 3-year-old Willa and 1-year-old daughter whose name is yet to be released. The couple was reportedly separating because of their differences in lifestyles and their different approach to parenting. Joe’s decision to break up with Sophie came despite them loving the kids and wanting the best.
According to Page Six, Jonas reportedly decided to end his marriage with Turner because she was “unhappy and unfulfilled.” He also alleged that their daughters had a negative influence on her. He cited that it was “a last resort” and that the decision was “the best one for them as a family.”
The New York Post’s Page Six reported that Joe had lived with the girls for most of the past few months. He had been juggling his touring duties with the Jonas Brothers and raising their two kids independently. The “Sucker” singer was caring for the children “pretty much all the time” while Sophie was filming the ITVX series Joan in England since May.
Sophie confirmed her second pregnancy in 2022, and she displayed a full maternity glow when she attended the Met Gala with Joe. They were both seen in the photo booth together and were pictured laughing and smiling. However, they both opted to walk the red carpet separately.
They also appeared to have a great relationship with their pets, as Joe was seen cuddling with his dog in one of Sophie’s Instagram photos. The pair also adopted a husky puppy together. Joe also commented on one of Sophie’s pictures with a flame emoji.
In another photo on Sophie’s Instagram, the actress and her brother Nick were seen posing with the adorable animal. Sophie’s smile in the photo is infectious, and it’s clear that the siblings are very close.
After rumors of their split emerged, the couple was spotted publicly and seemed happy. Sophie was spotted at a pub in Birmingham, England, looking happy as she downed shots with her friends. She was reportedly wearing a blue dress with a floral print.
On Wednesday, Joe was spotted with his two daughters at a Sherman Oaks, California restaurant. The 34-year-old did not wear his wedding ring as he sat with 3-year-old Willa and the 1-year-old, who is yet to be named. A female companion joined him as they sat at an outdoor seating area of Sweet Butter Kitchen.
It was the first time Joe has been spotted without his wedding ring since the divorce rumors surfaced. In a snap with his brothers from a Jonas Brothers concert in Texas this week, he sported his bare left ring finger.
